When we began designing our first piece of clothing, we didn't start with a mood board. We started with research.
Before a single sample was made, we spent time understanding fabric: how different fibres perform over time, how they age, how they feel against the skin after the tenth wear, not just the first. We wanted a standard, not a guess.
That process kept leading us back to cashmere.
Cashmere isn't valued for being loud. It's valued because it holds up: to wear, to washing, to years of use. It regulates temperature better than most natural fibres, softens rather than wears out, and keeps its shape long after cheaper knits have stretched or bobbled.
Built on Standards, Not Trends
Our first piece of clothing had to represent what the brand stands for, and that meant the fabric came first, not the design.
We tested against fibre weight, durability, and finish before we ever finalised a silhouette. The cashmere quarter zip was built on that foundation: a clean, considered shape wrapped around a fabric chosen for how it performs over years, not seasons.
Even the smallest details were considered. The zip pull carries our engraved logo; the kind of detail you notice once you already own it.
That same standard carries through to how it arrives. Every piece is presented in a matte black box, finished simply with the OTB script across the edge.
Buying Less, Choosing Better
We're not interested in endless collections. We'd rather research fewer pieces properly, and get them right, than release often and hope.
Every addition to the OTB wardrobe has to meet the same bar: not new for the sake of new, but useful, durable, and built to last. Cashmere set that bar for us from the very first piece.
